There's a blog I came across by Katherine Treffinger. There Katherine poses the question "What meaning does art have for you? Why do you show up in your studio, or wherever and pick up your tools day after day?" Well I thought about this for several days before I emailed Katherine the answer. She posts the answers on her blog
http://katherinetreffinger.blogspot.com so you can check out my answer and answers from other artists there.
New work below. That makes 28 pieces for the exhibition. I set myself a goal of 30 so only 2 more to go. The colours aren't exactly right on the photo as there was no sunshine today. Only gloomy dark skies. We've had quite a bit of rain YAY!!!

Uta, how do you make all the objects in your artwork come to live so vividly? I always feel as though I'm touching and examining each item up close, be it the stunning sunflower, rich in color and texture pumpkin, or yummy pears... and now this gorgeous clock! The details are just breath-taking. I love your art, nothing else to add...awlways look forward to your next creation.

Yes, the clock painting is great ... like all the others!!!
It is such a surprise to come to your blog and see new work. I set and way to see what's next the story reveals itself as you go.

Tatiana,
I always photograph What I'm going to paint which helps me to see how the shadows and the details work. Sometimes I use a lamp to create really dramatic shadows.
Thank you ladies for you ongoing support. As the exhibition draws closer the self doubt gets stronger so your support helps to keep my nerves in tact :)
Thank you Uta so much for participating in my blog project. You are a wonderful addition!
I love the piece and fortunately I read the previous post prior. What a wonderful preservation of moments in time and friendship!
