Home Yet Lost

We had a lovely relaxing weekend. The highlight was going out for breakfast on Sunday to one of the wineries. I had a winemakers breakfast which consisted of a thick piece of toast, bacon, pork and fennel sausage, mushroom, tomato and a poached egg. This was washed down with a hot cappuccino. We then proceeded to a cheese tasting and bought a nice mature cheese and also a buffalo cheese, yum. We looked through the shops and galleries in Penola and then went for a wine tasting before heading back to Naracoorte. Breakfast was so filling we had no lunch and only really nibbled at dinner time. I didn't really take any photos except for a few drive by shootings from the car. Needless to say they are a bit blurry.

typical rural scene

it rained

some cattle

the weather cleared in between showers

this is coming home at night with the lights of a passing truck

The blues have been setting in. Is it because I need sun? Am I hibernating for the winter? Maybe its because I haven't got a direction at the moment. The shed clean up has been held up yet again so all my plans are on hold, groan. I'm a little lost.

Hey Uta, chin up me dear friend... Could you do an exhibition related workshop? It might get you creating again... and help ease your mind?
Thinking of you and sending lots of love and 'virtual' hugs across blogdom xxx

I think the emotional ride of exhibit it not always the easiest. And I remember some where to set something else up so that you can get the ball rolling again. But maybe that's me and then that too can get out of hand.

But really you know what you need to do and you also know small little activities each day add up.

Show up lady and play for a while and then the next day do the same. You've created a habit for your self the past year and it's like withdrawal... well just my two cents and experience.

and it's normal to go through these moments the important thing it to go through, now side stepping or avoiding... Keep on, Keeping on!!

Ok I'm rambling again...

How's your rusty metal collection? Anything new added recently? Mine's still strewn around the garden, some piled in corners, others on potted plants. You got a favourite piece?

...more hugs and love...

What was that chapter in Artist's Way? "Filling the Well, Stocking the Pond"...."Any extended period or piece of work draws heavily on our artistic well." Stock the well :)

You're tired. You were so busy for so long and now it's a resting period, which you are not used to and didn't anticipate. Journal. Do morning pages. Talk to yourself. You will receive inspiration, Uta. hug-hug

Seems that you had fun at the vineyard.
We live close to the Rhine valley and also like to go there. The wineries have the Strausswirtschaft which serve the selfmade wine and small snacks. Most of the places are outside under a roof of wine leaves.
