Spring is In the Air
Yesterday we had our first warm day. A little early for August. The warmth opened the first jasmine flowers and I was greeted with that sweet sweet scent of spring. As it happened I got all the washing done and it dried really quickly. I was so involved with all my household chores I never took the time to take the clothes off the line. And of course Murphy's Law being what it is we had thunder, lightning and rain overnight. Oh well the rain does give the clothes that nice fresh smell. My house is spic and span and it gives me the best feeling that I spent the day getting rid of those ever growing dust bunnies. It gives me that real satisfied feeling :). I still need to attack the gardening. I'm really late pruning my roses and the weeds are smothering everything. The next fine day I will start (maybe) hehehe.

I like how your words paint the Spring picture in my mind. I could almost spell the spring rain! New beginnings...
Sounds lovely and we are getting thunderstorms this morning and my neighbor's young maple is turning red and so it feels like fall here. Oh, since that laundry is still out there, you can do another painting!
How I long to be heralding in Spring with you. Though I love fall, the winters here can be challenging.
Follow those jumping dust bunnies to your studio and paint "Laundry #2". Or maybe some roses with weeds climbing all over them.
Oh well, guess I'll hunt for something to paint here in dear old Illinois.......
I leave laundry in the rain often! Not tonight though, chance of tornadoes!
