I'm sitting here with the pics uploaded, trying to get up enough courage to post them. Deep breath in ... and out ... Its just the very start even though it took me all afternoon to do. I'm on new ground here and really don't know what I'm doing. I just have these ideas and I want to give them a try.
The first pic is the original photo cropped to get rid of some of the background. Its a photo from last year and I haven't got my new glasses yet.

What a beautiful wise face. Great start. But look what you have to work with!!!!
So proud of you for venturing past your comfort zone...
Now your comfort zone is larger!
CHeering you on!
and...I've been meaning to talk to you about those blue shoes.............................
Looking very good! Inspiring!
Always love the step by step process of the doing phase. Keeps me yearning for more. Interesting the cutout tool on Photoshop. How it brings out shadows. Hm, learning something here. Do the words on the newsprint? say anything significant or personal?
You have a wonderful unique style that always makes me crave more.
You are an inspiration stepping "outside of the box"!
This is looking interesting Uta- Take your courage in both hands!
And thank you so much for the sunshine!!
Thank you so much for all your encouragement ladies. It means a lot :)
You are getting to be one very very busy lady, Uta. I love your shoes! What fun. And your self portrait looks great. What a good idea to use Photoshop that way. Why didn't I think of that? I can't wait to see your selfy as it evolves. When it's done, send it to Artists Paint Themselves.
Uta! So cool! You are such an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your steps as it sounded difficult. But that's just another discomfort you've faced. It's great seeing the steps; it made me revisit your creations and appreciate the work involved with your pieces.
Wow! So interesting! Love learning about your process. I don't have a clue about photoshop though. boo-hoo. And no time to learn. Love you photo, Uta!
