Garden Party

I do love Christmas with family and friends coming for our annual garden party but it seriously cuts into my art time hehehe. I'm itching to continue with the next portrait. One good studio session would finish it I reckon. Not yet. Still have a long list of things to accomplish, sigh. I can't just do art. I do need to do those ordinary everyday things too. They keep me grounded. I would just fly off into the zone and lose touch with reality if I didn't have those ordinary everyday things to keep my feet planted firmly on the ground. Yep that's what I have to remind myself as I pull yet another weed or dust places that never see a duster. It will be worth it. Good food, family and friends with the occasional glass of wine or maybe apple cider. Yep, the art can wait.

I like that. Keeps you grounded. My hubby says he's my anchor; in case I float up too high.

Yes, if I had my way, I'd be in the clouds all day! My husband is creative spirit too so we're always floating around each other.
Sounds like fun grounding activities in prep for the Holidays.
Still, I can't wait to see your next portrait........

It's snowing here this morning, Uta. Thinking of you getting ready for your garden party. Nice to have a sneak peak into a warmer world for a minute or two.

Love hearing about your party, Uta. Wish we could all be there too. Maybe some time you'll paint a picture of the party and put us in just like we were there.
