Tea Ceremony 17th August 2012

I went to an authentic Chinese wedding tea ceremony where the bride and groom show respect to their elders by serving them tea. Afterwards we had an authentic Chinese banquet where I tried some new foods like jelly fish and sea cucumber.
Glenn all spiffed up ready for the tea ceremony

Glenn got a bit stressed with the traffic as he didn't want to be late

I love this view on the trip into Seattle

Glenn's daughter, Meesha in her traditional Chinese gown

Meesha and Alex pouring the first tea into the tray for their departed ancestors

the oldest family members get served first

 Alex's parents being served tea

now its Glenn's and Moe's turn

the bride's side of the family

That must have been such an honor to be included in that ceremony. I'm surprised you were able to take photos but I"m glad you did!
