The Tablecloth Saga Continued

So here is my tablecloth painting nearly complete. I still want to add some real stitching where the hem and the trim is. I added more text to the background and a few more washes of paint, some subtle shadow to the tablecloth to really show the movement of the fabric and painted the peg and the clothesline. Its lost a lot of its power in this small image. The sheer size of it in real life adds something which is lost on the computer screen. It hasn't got a title yet either but that will come.

Next painting is in the planning stages. The theme was inspired by my friend April. Yes a cupcake painting, low cal of course hehehe.

Wonderful Lady! Cupcakes we like cupcakes, can't help but feel the kid in me reaching up for one or raising my hand to say I want one too!

What a genius way to depict the tablecloth! I clicked and got a larger image, but not nearly as large as the real one. I can just imagine how stunning it is. Did you stamp the background words or paint them? It really looks cool.

Love the text, love the "peg" and the cloth itself is great! Wonderful idea to add some real stitching! And I know your cupcakes will be yummy! Thank you, Uta.

Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement. Little voices of censorship are creeping into my head the closer the exhibiton gets. You all help to keep them at bay.

Deborah, the text is stamped in the background.

Uta, Julia's photos are fun, a little crazy, and beautiful all at the same time. She must be lots of fun.
Can't find your email, would you send it to me, please?
Mine is on my page, I think.

It is just wonderful! I'm wondering why I'm still drying clothes indoors! Your tedious labors paid off incredibly!

Uta,
You take such simple ordinary objects in life and make them fabulous with your personal inner vision. That's amazing.
Cutting all those papers tedious but a labor of love, right?
Yep, can't wait to see the cupcakes, especially life size. Yummy, my inner child is jumping up and down in glee!
You added stitching. I have to go back and look!

It is SUTUNNING, Uta! I could stare at it for a long, long time and be drawn into the effortless movement of the cloth. You have a gift my friend for 'zooming in'-to the ordinary and turning it into extraordinary. I feel I have soooo much to learn...
Thank you for sharing,
Tatiana
