The Opening

We had quite a nice turn out for the official opening of Peeking Through Someone Else's Window even though it was a cold rainy day. Mark (Julia's husband) played his guitar so we had some lovely live music while we enjoyed a glass of wine and some nibbles. I had organised a video to be taken of the opening and planned to put it on YouTube so all my overseas friends could share it with me. Alas :( the camera malfunctioned so it looks like it wasn't meant to be. I would like to take this time to thank my tribe for their ongoing support. I couldn't have done it without you. With a special thank you to Laura, Doris, Bev, April and my new friend Biggi for all your encouragement. You gave me the confidence to believe in myself and for that I will always be grateful. You hold a special place in my heart.

Someone else who went beyond the call of duty is my best friend Vanita who drove 4 hours to be the guest speaker at the opening. She did a fabulous job and I am eternally grateful.

I would also like to thank my Bob, formally known as my patron. He goes out to work, works real hard and never grumbles (well hardly ever) when I need more art supplies. (pisssst, Bob I'm out of canvas hehehe)

You did it, my dear friend. You are such a shining example of how to make your dreams come true.
Alas, I was hoping for that video to happen of the show, but your play by play of the event itself and leading up to it was so wonderful.
But I was looking forward to that Aussie accent, Uta!!!!
Great crowd to see some great artists. Maybe you can make this a yearly event? Well, I'm pushy but can't wait to see more Uta new creations.
P.S. Believing mirrors are what it's all about!!!! Love, Bev.

Uta, I was blown away by the art on your website. I then followed your link to Julia's and her daughters. Oh my goodness, they are also fantastic artists. Julia's photography is amazing and I love her daughter's art. FANTASTIC!
